Why? Adelaide?

People

The main reason I want to stay in Australia is because of the relationships I’ve built. During my three years as a student, I was supported by amazing friends. The time I spent with them is unforgettable, and I truly want to continue building good memories and meaningful connections here. Many people have supported me, and now I want to give something back to them. I also want to explore more of the Australian culture they’ve introduced to me.

Culture

This place has lots of cultures I truly love. From the way people communicate and the working culture to the craft beer and wine cultures, I enjoy learning about them with a deep respect.

While I love experiencing uniquely Australian traditions, I’m also inspired by Australia’s mixed culture, which is a beautiful blend of influences from all over the world that has evolved into something unique. For example, one of my favourites is schnitzel which is always best with mushroom sauce at the pub or bar. My interest in cafe culture started when I worked at Bloom in Bowden, and I realised how good the culture is in Adelaide.

Here are some of my favourite spots:

Cafe: Willow Bend, Bloom

Brewery: Bowden Brewing (IPA), Brightstar Brewing (Sour), Western Ridge Brewing (Stout)

Wine: Greenock Creek Wine

Gin: Ounce Gin, 78 Degrees Gin

Hobbies

Unlike culture, which is something I enjoy experiencing from the outside, my hobbies are more personal—they’re things I want to do no matter where I am. For me, that hobby is fishing.

I feel a deep passion for it, connecting with nature, learning local rules, and enjoying the moment. The nature in Adelaide is incredible, and I could know the beauty of South Australia thurout fishing exprience.

When I catch squid, I keep it home and make paella. Paired with a glass of Pikes Riesling, that’s a perfect moment for me.

In the future, it’s my dream to travel to Darwin to chase barramundi, and to Cairns for the beautiful GTs (Giant Trevally). Those are big goals I’m really excited about.
